The passion for two wheels and solidarity are the cornerstones on which STRADEBASSE has its roots. This project was conceived during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I am a cycling tour guide and, at the same time, a solo traveler,” explains Danilo. “By repeatedly traversing the Brescia territory, especially during the pandemic, I managed to see it with a different perspective. Our landscape, which may appear monotonous at first glance, reveals fascinating details when explored at a slow pace. This led me to map out all the roads I knew, and nearly two years later, here we are.”

Danilo and his friends and collaborators have created three circular routes of 68, 100, and 200 kilometers. These routes start from Padernello and wind through the Brescia and Cremona countryside, crossing gravel roads, secondary streets, and trails.

In addition to these routes, there’s STRADEBASSE FAMILY, a charity event that combines love for cycling and the local area with solidarity. It’s a day to come together in a convivial spirit, with all proceeds going entirely to charity.

Starting this year, STRADEBASSE is also proud to host the arrival of the first edition of BRIXIA TRAIL, a 330-kilometer cycling adventure that encompasses the low roads, two lakes, and the city of Brescia. The goal is to promote slow and mindful tourism
